Abraj Water: First Kuwaiti Factory to Successfully Use 100% Recycled Plastic (rPET) for Drinking Water Bottles

In a pioneering move that confirms its leadership in Kuwait’s bottled water sector, Abraj Water—a subsidiary of the Modern Technology Company for Bottling Drinking Water and a member of the Abdulrazzaq Abdulhamid Al-Sane & Sons Group—announced an unprecedented achievement: the production of drinking water bottles using 100% recycled plastic (rPET).

Abraj Water has successfully developed and produced new bottles relying entirely on recycled plastic, making them eco-friendly and eliminating dependence on virgin plastic. This step reflects the company’s commitment to its environmental responsibility, raising awareness, and supporting Kuwait’s environmental vision aimed at reducing plastic waste and preserving natural resources.

Ali Nasser Al-Najdi, Executive Director of Abraj Water, stated: "We are proud to be the first Kuwaiti factory to succeed in producing bottled drinking water using 100% recycled materials (rPET). As part of its commitment to social responsibility, Abraj Water participated in the "Omniya of Your School" campaign and competition, organized by Omniya Plastic Collection Company under the extensive sponsorship of the Ministry of Education across Kuwait. The campaign aims to spread awareness about the importance of recycling and encourage students to participate in environmental activities. Abraj Water provided its new products to support this initiative and reinforce its commitment to the environment.

In addition to its recycled bottles, Abraj Water launched a new series of products reflecting its commitment to diversity and quality. The company introduced new premium glass bottles, including both still and sparkling water in 250ml and 750ml sizes. These bottles feature a sophisticated design suitable for homes, restaurants, and hotels, while maintaining the high purity and quality for which Abraj Water is known.

The company also introduced a new low-sodium alkaline water product in a 750ml size, featuring a practical, re-sealable sports cap. This product is specifically designed to meet the needs of athletes and active individuals, making it an ideal choice for maintaining hydration during daily activities.

Furthermore, in collaboration with Dabdoub, a leading company in children's toys, Abraj Water introduced a new 200ml water bottle. This product features an attractive and fun design that encourages children to drink water regularly, helping them build healthy habits from a young age.
